This powerful system supports complex data extraction, cleansing, date arithmetic, consolidation, meta-data development, and AS/400-to-AS/400 file transfer. IS professionals may use the menu-driven and Structured Query Language (SQL) user interfaces of this module to access DB2/400 data bases, including multiple members of the same file and IDDU files. The system supports one-to-many file relationships; unique key processing; file joins based on derived fields; simple, conditional and custom data cleansing; detail and summary level calculations; and both detail and summary data capture and transfer.

End-User Query/Reporting with NGS-IQ
The Qport Builder and Qport Access modules of NGS-IQ provide end users with easy-to-use, full-function query and reporting capabilities. Users may develop the ad hoc queries and production reports they need in Qport Builder and use the run-time features of Qport Access when they want to send their results directly into Microsoft Access, Excel, Quattro Pro, Lotus 1-2-3, and Word. Qport Access accepts ad hoc selection criteria and calculation logic and passes the request to the AS/400 for batch processing. When the job is ready, Qport Access launches the user's target application and loads in the query result. Column headings are delivered as defined by the user, and summary values are automatically converted into spreadsheet formulas.  Frequently run queries may be linked to desktop icons to further simplify and expedite end-user data base access.  NGS-IQ gives you a single point of control and access for query, reporting, data analysis and data warehousing requirements across ALL your AS/400 business applications.
